Pinata

This was a fun fast layout using all free products from RAKScraps. This little pinata guy was perfect for this 8x8 layout of my daughter.

Moss Parties in Cabo

Here's another "just for fun" layout for the Scrapgirls Staycation challenge. Paper is from the Refresh 2 kit and page template was designed by Amanda Sok.

Moss Loves Vegas

I'm really loving these ScrapGirls challenges. It gives me a chance to learn and play without taking myself so seriously.
Here's the challenge: Create a computer scrapbooking layout of Moss on vacation with your family, site-seeing in your hometown, or just hanging out around the house. Post your layout in the appropriate gallery, and the best layout wins a prize. Winner selected at the end of Scrap Girls' STAYcation week 2008 and will be announced in our newsletter.

















I came up with two versions of this. One has a white banner, and one has a black banner. I finally decided to submit the one with the white banner. This was fun. I'm thinking of doing one for our Cabo trip and one for our Florida trip too.

Signature Line

This is the first "siggy" I've ever made. There was a challenge on ScrapGirls to create a summer signature Line. I think it turned out kind of cool. I took a picture of myself, turned it into a sketch (using this tutorial http://video.about.com/graphicssoft/Photo-Color-Sketch-in-Elements.html), and added my name. The second pic is the actual photo and the third is the sketch after I finished it.

Matching Tattoos

I used Erica Hite's Skin Deep collection from ScrapGirls. The frame is a freebie from Katie Pertiet from Designer Digitals.
This is only the third or fourth layout I've done without a page template. I'm definitely starting to feel more comfortable with digiscrapping. The torn left upper corner is the first time I've tried my hand at torn paper. I hope it looks okay.
The yellowish background may seem like a strange color choice but this layout will be across from my "Umbrella" layout in my daughter's album, and I wanted them to complement each other. The script on the right hand side is the song "Tattoo" by Jordin Sparks. My dd and I lilke to sing along with songs in the car and this is one of our favorites.
Yes, my husband's tattoo is real...it's about 15 years old. He's 37 and he still loves Superman.

Excited Beyond Words...

I just signed up for the first ever....

ScrapGirls Digital Scrapbooking Convention!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so excited...and nervous since I'm new at this, but mostly excited!!!

It's been five years since I've been to Utah when I was there for a Leaving Prints Convention.

It's October 9th so I have some time to plan. I'm counting down (see widget at right).

Umbrella

My daughter and I always have a great time singing in the car. I can't sing a lick but she actually has a pretty good voice, and more importantly, we have a lot of fun. So when I pulled out this picture of her last year standing in the sun with her umbrella, of course, I had to do a layout with the words to Rihanna's Umbrella. The supplies are from the free Promise Collection from the Shabby Princess. The fonts are Algeria (umbrella) and Ali's Handwriting (lyrics).
